  • Job Overview
  • We are seeking an experienced Automotive Interior Components Development Engineer to support the development and launch of interior components for automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing component development, tooling and injection molding processes, supplier coordination, and customer communication.

Responsibilities

  • Support automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers throughout the component development process
  • Manage development schedules, including tooling and injection molding activities
  • Coordinate development activities with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Communicate with customers regarding technical requirements and development progress
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and product requirements
  • Prepare and manage BOMs
  • Support prototype development and coordinate tooling, injection molding, and manufacturing processes
  • Monitor development schedules and quality requirements prior to mass production
  • Identify and resolve development-related technical and production issues
  • Prepare and maintain required automotive quality and development documentation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive interior component development
  • Experience responding to customers and leading development projects is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience with CAD software such as CATIA, NX, or similar tools is preferred
  • Experience preparing automotive quality documentation such as APQP and PPAP is preferred
  • Experience with ISIR and IMDS is preferred
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to communicate in English in a professional working environment
  • Willingness to work in the U.S. or Mexico as required
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications
