  • OVERALL SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
  • The Cost Analyst serves as a key business partner to senior management, including the planning and finance teams. This role supports effective cost management and operational control at the warehouse level, covering general accounting, cost accounting, bill of materials audits, inventory reconciliation, and cost analysis. The position also supports month-end close processes and special projects, while collaborating closely with logistics partners to understand operational issues and their financial impact. Additionally, the role involves communicating cost drivers and variances across departments to support informed decision-making.
  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Labor Data Management
  • Maintain accurate records of headcount, labor hours, compensation, overtime, and other labor-related cost components.
  • Develop and manage a centralized labor database for both current workforce and future staffing plans.
  • Labor Cost Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze labor costs, productivity, overtime trends, and workforce utilization.
  • Generate regular reports and provide insights on cost drivers, variances, and potential risks.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting Support
  • Assist in preparing annual and monthly labor budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform variance analysis between budgeted and actual results, identifying key drivers.
  • Data Entry and Documentation Control
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of labor data, including work hours and compensation changes.
  • Work with HR and Operations to maintain data integrity and proper documentation.
  • Labor Cost & Productivity Analysis
  • Evaluate staffing levels, workforce efficiency, and production output.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize labor costs and improve operational efficiency.
  • Invoice Review and Compliance Support
  • Review and process invoices related to labor services (e.g., contractors, temporary staffing).
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial controls.
  • Administrative and Cross-Functional Support
  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.
  • Provide general analytical and administrative support as needed.

Requirements

  • & REQUIREMENTS
  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (CMA, CPA, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, labor planning, or related fields.
  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or HR analytics is preferred.
  • Technical Skills
  • Korean proficiency preferred (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
  • Experience with labor management or workforce analytics tools is a plus.

  • COMPENSATION & WORK CONDITIONS
  • Salary: $76,000 – $93,000 per year
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Regular
  • Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
