Overview
- As we accelerate our business expansion across the U.S. market, we are seeking a highly motivated HR Senior Specialist to drive our Employee Relations (ER), Labor Compliance, and Talent Acquisition functions.
- In this role, you will act as a critical business partner, proactively mitigating legal risks in complex, ever-changing federal and state labor environments, while executing high-impact full-cycle recruitment to support our business growth. This position involves regular collaboration and reporting (in English and Korean) with our Global HQ.
Responsibilities
- 1. Labor Compliance & HR Administration
- Regulatory Compliance & Audits: Maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEOC) by regularly auditing and updating internal policies, employee handbooks, and retail-specific practices (e.g., wage/hour, meal/rest breaks).
- Risk Mitigation & Reporting: Oversee regulatory HR reporting, legal documentation, and essential compliance programs across multi-state operating jurisdictions to proactively mitigate risks.
- 2. Employee Relations (ER) & Investigations
- Investigation & Resolution: Conduct formal internal investigations on ER issues, employee complaints, and harassment allegations; manage dispute resolutions objectively and recommend corrective actions.
- Leadership Coaching: Provide proactive guidance and coaching to leadership and store management on policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and performance management to foster a fair workplace culture.
- 3. Full-Cycle Talent Acquisition & Infrastructure
- End-to-End Recruitment: Execute and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for corporate and key field/retail roles.
- Pipeline & System Optimization: Design and optimize hiring infrastructure (ATS/HRIS) and proactive talent pipelines to support aggressive business scaling in the competitive U.S. market.
Requirements
- & Requirements
- Experience: 5–7 years of comprehensive HR Generalist experience with a heavy focus on Employee Relations (ER), Talent Acquisition, and multi-state labor law compliance within the U.S. market.
- Conflict Resolution: Proven hands-on experience in independently conducting formal workplace investigations and managing complex dispute resolutions is a must.
- Retail Industry Acumen: Demonstrated track record in managing HR operations and compliance, preferably in a fast-paced retail or consumer goods (CPG) environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Language Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in English. Bilingual capability in Korean (written/verbal) is highly preferred to facilitate communication and reporting with Global HQ.

- Multi-State Operations: Proven experience handling HR operations and labor compliance across multiple operating jurisdictions.
- Cross-Border Experience: Experience working within a U.S. subsidiary of a global/foreign enterprise, navigating dual-cultural business environments.
- Talent Scaling & Systems: Track record of successfully designing and optimizing hiring infrastructures (ATS) using a data-driven approach.
- HR Certification: Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus.
