We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Import Specialist to support and coordinate international import operations. This role will be responsible for managing import documentation, customs clearance processes, shipment tracking, and communication with overseas suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods.
The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of import or international logistics experience and be fluent in both Korean and English, as this position requires frequent communication and coordination with headquarters in Korea.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor import shipments from origin to final destination.
Prepare, review, and maintain import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs-related documents.
Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely shipment processing.
Track shipment status and proactively resolve transportation, customs clearance, or delivery issues.
Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, import requirements, and company policies.
Communicate regularly with headquarters and overseas vendors regarding shipment schedules, inventory status, and logistics updates.
Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely receipt of imported goods.
Maintain accurate records of import transactions and logistics activities.
Assist with freight cost analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
Support other supply chain and logistics functions as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
1–2 years of experience in import operations, international logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
Professional fluency in both Korean and English is required.
Knowledge of import documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping processes.
Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation providers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience with ERP systems, logistics software, or supply chain management platforms.
Knowledge of Incoterms, HTS classifications, and customs compliance procedures.
Experience supporting procurement, sourcing, manufacturing, or distribution operations.
