This experienced IT professional runs and improves the IT infrastructure of our client company's manufacturing plant. The role provides tier-2/3 support, administers servers, networks, and backups, supports SAP and MES users, manages IT vendors, assets, and budgets, and leads IT improvement projects. At the manager level, it also directs the IT team and owns department policies and plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Infrastructure and Systems
Administer Windows servers, databases, and application servers: install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot
Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, and internet connectivity; keep network maps current
Monitor servers, network, and services to ensure high availability; review performance and capacity data
Manage data backup and recovery systems and maintain disaster recovery plans
Control user access and passwords, and maintain network and system security
Support plant systems including CCTV recording equipment, PLC-connected devices, and shop-floor PCs
Support and Users
Provide tier-2/3 helpdesk support and back up tier-1 support
Provide SAP and MES user support and training
Provide after-hours on-call support for production-critical issues
Vendors, Assets, and Budget
Manage outside IT vendors and service contracts
Purchase and track IT assets; prepare purchase requisitions and expense reports
Manage software licenses, hardware warranties, and renewals
Prepare the IT budget and business plan (manager level)
Leadership and Improvement
Lead IT system improvement projects and authorize changes that affect production systems
Research, evaluate, and recommend new technology to meet business needs
Create and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation
Lead, train, and support IT team members, and report progress to management
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises the IT Specialist; at the manager level, directs all IT Department activities.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years of IT experience, including systems administration, hardware, and networking
Experience supporting a manufacturing environment preferred; experience with SAP and MES strongly preferred
Technical Skills
Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and Windows client installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Networking (switching, routing, firewalls, VPN, wireless) and backup/recovery tools
Database basics and scripting to automate tasks
Certifications such as Microsoft, Network+, or CCNA preferred
Language and Competencies
Fluent English required; bilingual English/Korean preferred
Explains technical issues clearly to non-technical users
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Office environment with regular work in the server room and on the plant floor
PPE must be worn at all times in the plant
May be required to work irregular or long hours to resolve system outages
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
