We are seeking a process-driven, analytical, and adaptive Logistics Assistant Manager to support and lead key operations related to local purchasing, vendor management, inventory readiness, and cross-functional collaboration.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring supply availability and minimizing delays that impact sales and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where change is constant, growth is immense, and opportunities abound.
This role is primarily based out of our Carlstadt, New Jersey warehouse and reports directly to the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management: Manage end-to-end procurement of local supplies (USBs, Result Sheets, Pallets). Source vendors, track quotes, evaluate options, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Inventory Forecasting: Monitor inventory levels and forecast supply needs to prevent backorders and warehouse delays.
Data & Logs: Collect and update purchasing logs, shipping allocations, and performance data. Maintain structured cost comparison tools (updated every 6 months).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with accounting, warehouse, and HQ procurement teams on purchasing, PO management, and vendor relationships.
Logistics & SOPs: Assist in drafting or refining SOPs for purchasing and inventory workflows. Support overall logistics initiatives by flagging potential delays, documentation gaps, or pricing issues.
Peak Planning: Participate actively in logistics planning during quarter-end or urgent shipment periods.
Transition Support: Be flexible to support our upcoming warehouse workflows and operations.
Work Location & Travel Expectations
Primary Base: Carlstadt, NJ warehouse.
Travel Requirements: While this role is primarily stationary at the Carlstadt facility, it requires occasional travel to our office in Audubon, PA while we transition operations over to the new warehouse, as well as some travel to a 3PL warehouse in Somerset, NJ, and other ad hoc regional travel as needed.
Requirements
Required:
3+ years of experience in logistics, procurement, or operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, cost tracking) with a strong aptitude for numbers.
Familiarity with Microsoft D365 or other ERP systems.
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining high accuracy.
Proactive mindset and self-starter attitude.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Nice to have
(Preferred but not required):
Bilingual in Korean and English is a strong plus.
College degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous experience with cost analysis or vendor performance reviews.
Exposure to shipping workflows (UPS, LTL, international shipping).
