We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Project Manager for an immediate opening (ASAP) to support a large-scale semiconductor facility project in Taylor, TX. This role is primarily focused on pre-construction coordination, interface management, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment among the Owner, General Contractors (GCs), designers, and subcontractors.
Unlike a traditional Contract Manager role focused on contract drafting, negotiation, and administration, this position requires a hands-on project professional who can effectively manage interfaces between multiple organizations, resolve scope and responsibility gaps, and drive execution through collaboration and proactive coordination.
Responsibilities
Lead pre-construction coordination activities with primary emphasis on mechanical systems and their interfaces with electrical and piping disciplines.
Coordinate among the Owner, General Contractors, design consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
Clarify ambiguous responsibilities ("gray areas") between parties and facilitate timely resolution.
Actively participate in and facilitate: Design Review Meetings, Coordination Meetings, Trade Coordination Meetings, and Cross-functional Interface Workshops.
Track decisions, action items, responsibilities, and closure status.
Understand contractual relationships between Owner contracts, GC agreements, and subcontract agreements to support the resolution of contract-related coordination issues.
Required Qualifications
Language: Bilingual (Korean and English) is REQUIRED.
Experience: 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction, EPC, industrial, semiconductor, or manufacturing projects.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field.
Strong background in mechanical systems and MEP coordination.
Ability to identify and resolve scope gaps and responsibility conflicts.
Nice to have
Experience on semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, or industrial megaprojects.
Familiarity with EPC, Design-Build, CMAR, or large industrial project delivery models.
Experience working directly with Korean owners, contractors, or engineering organizations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a "Project Integration Leader" who combines mechanical engineering and construction expertise, contractual awareness, and strong interface management capabilities. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating multiple organizations simultaneously.
