The Payroll & Finance Specialist processes payroll and supports day-to-day accounting at our client company. This role manages time and attendance data through payroll, handles accounts payable and receivable, reconciles bank and general ledger accounts, and supports monthly closing, tax filings, and audits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Payroll
Review and edit time and attendance records in UKG; ensure correct work schedules for each employee
Process paid and unpaid time off and track leave balances for hourly employees
Enter new hires and employee changes into the payroll system
Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time, and record payroll transactions and accruals
Answer employee and manager questions on pay and time issues
Stay current on payroll laws and regulations and help keep the company compliant
Accounts Payable and Receivable
Verify and enter transactions in SAP
Prepare daily/weekly payment schedules and process vendor payments by check and wire
Verify expense and reimbursement reports for proper documentation, approvals, and sales and use tax
Set up new vendors and employees in SAP
Record deposits and incoming payments
Cash, Closing, and Reporting
Reconcile bank statements daily and balance sheet accounts monthly
Prepare and record accrued expenses
Support monthly closing and prepare reports for the Accounting Manager
Prepare 1099s and support sales and use tax, personal property, and other state and federal filings
Prepare schedules for the annual audit and maintain organized accounting files
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory duties.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred; or equivalent experience
1–3 years of payroll and/or accounting experience [TBC]
Experience with multi-state or hourly manufacturing payroll preferred
Skills
Experience with UKG (Kronos) or a similar payroll/time system and SAP or another ERP preferred
Strong Excel skills and accuracy with numbers
Knowledge of U.S. payroll law and basic accounting principles
Handles confidential information with discretion
Fluent English required; bilingual English/Korean preferred
