  • We are a growing multi-brand cosmetics company based in New York, operating both on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft 365 cloud services.
  • As we continue to modernize our IT environment, we are strengthening our infrastructure, security, and cloud capabilities. We are seeking a hands-on Senior IT Systems & Security Engineer to help manage and secure our enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure
  • - Windows Server / Active Directory administration
  • - Virtualization platforms (Nutanix, AHV, or similar)
  • - Microsoft 365 / Entra ID administration
  • - Backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery planning
  • Security
  • - Firewall administration (Sophos, Cisco, or similar)
  • - VPN management (SSL VPN, Site-to-Site VPN)
  • - Network segmentation
  • - Endpoint and identity security (MFA, Conditional Access)
  • - Security monitoring and incident response
  • - Email security and phishing protection
  • - Implement and maintain security policies and best practices
  • Network
  • - Switching and routing support
  • - VLAN design and troubleshooting
  • - Connectivity between sites and cloud environments
  • Projects
  • - Infrastructure upgrades and migrations
  • - Security hardening initiatives
  • - Cloud and hybrid modernization projects
  • - Vendor coordination and project execution

Requirements

  • - 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience
  • - Strong Windows Server and Active Directory expertise
  • - Hands-on firewall and VPN administration experience
  • - Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs)
  • - Experience supporting production environments
  • - Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

Nice to have

  • - Microsoft 365 security experience (Defender, Conditional Access)
  • - Experience with Sophos, Cisco, or similar security platforms
  • - Nutanix or VMware virtualization experience
  • - Zero Trust or modern security architecture exposure
  • - Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or retail environments
  • - Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, etc.) are a plus
