Role details
Position Description The Senior Scheduler will support big scale and complex industrial manufacturing projects by leading strategic planning, integrated scheduling, and schedule performance monitoring across the full project life cycle. The role is responsible for establishing and maintaining realistic, logic-driven, resource-aware, and achievable project schedules that align design, procurement, permitting, construction, commissioning, qualification, start-up, handover, and close-out activities. The Senior Scheduler will provide planning support, schedule governance, progress measurement, critical path analysis, risk modelling, and recovery planning to client stakeholders, Our project leadership, and the broader project team. The position will ensure that program-level and project-level planning processes are consistent, transparent, and suitable for executive reporting, contractor coordination, and timely decision-making. The role requires strong coordination with design, procurement, construction, cost control, project controls, contractors, and client teams to support schedule reliability, early risk identification, and proactive mitigation. Job Description Develop, manage, and control integrated master schedules for all project phases, including site mobilization, design, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, start-up, handover, and close-out. Establish project work breakdown structures, schedule coding structures, calendars, activity sequencing, milestones, logic ties, baseline schedules, and reporting formats aligned with industry best practices and client requirements. Maintain project schedules in a multi-user Primavera P6 environment and coordinate schedule inputs from design, procurement, construction, commissioning, cost control, contractors, and other functional teams. Collect progress data, validate contractor updates, analyze schedule variance, and update schedules to reflect actual progress, remaining duration, forecast dates, and potential impacts. Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports, executive dashboards, look-ahead schedules, milestone summaries, critical path reports, variance narratives, and recovery/mitigation action plans. Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, schedule risk reviews, delay impact assessments, and what-if scenario modelling to support project decisions and escalation. Support earned value progress measurement, productivity tracking, procurement tracking, cost/schedule integration, change control, and forecast analysis in coordination with project controls and cost management teams. Control the master program schedule, drive progress review meetings, identify schedule constraints, and work with responsible parties to develop practical mitigation and recovery plans. Establish and maintain program drivers, interface milestones, long-lead procurement activities, permitting requirements, shutdown/turnover sequences, and contractor coordination milestones. Support design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and start-up planning for complex technical facilities, ensuring alignment with client operational requirements and project delivery strategy. Interact with client teams and PM teams to communicate schedule status, high-level performance, key risks, required decisions, and schedule recovery priorities. Remain current with planning and scheduling methods, tools, and best practices, and recommend improvements where beneficial to the project. Minimum Requirements & Expectations Engineering, construction management, project controls, or related degree preferred; master’s degree is a plus. 15+ years of scheduling, planning, and project controls experience, ideally including semiconductor, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, battery, advanced manufacturing, data center, or other complex high-tech facility projects. Strong experience in project controls across the full project life cycle from design and procurement through construction, commissioning, start-up, handover, and post-construction activities. Proven track record developing and managing schedules for complex, fast-track, multi-discipline projects involving design consultants, general contractors, trade contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders. In-depth Primavera P6 experience is required; experience with Synchro 4D, MS Project, Power BI, Excel-based dashboards, and integrated cost/schedule reporting is preferred. Strong knowledge of master planning, baseline management, progress measurement, critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, procurement tracking, earned value, change control, and delay/impact analysis. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and conflicting priorities across a broad range of facilities, engineering disciplines, and contractor interfaces.
