  • Position Summary
  • A confidential company is seeking a hands-on bilingual finance professional to support the potential sale and wind-down of a U.S. business operation.
  • This role will manage financial due diligence, asset-sale analysis, transaction reporting, and coordination among U.S. management, Korean headquarters, external advisors, and potential buyers.
  • Candidates do not need to hold a Senior Manager title. Relevant transaction experience and the ability to perform detailed financial work directly are more important than supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial analyses for business, division, or individual asset-sale scenarios.
  • Review fixed assets, inventory, real estate, leases, and related accounting records.
  • Analyze asset values, estimated proceeds, impairment, and gains or losses on disposal.
  • Organize financial documents and manage the Virtual Data Room.
  • Respond to financial due diligence requests from advisors and potential buyers.
  • Analyze financial statements, general ledger data, working capital, nonrecurring items, and related-party transactions.
  • Prepare forecasts for sale proceeds, transaction costs, and wind-down cash requirements.
  • Support closing statements, settlement calculations, and transaction-related accounting.
  • Prepare Korean- and English-language reports for management and Korean headquarters.
  • Support monthly close, reconciliations, audits, and remaining financial matters during the wind-down.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
  • Seven or more years of relevant accounting, finance, M&A, transaction advisory, or restructuring experience.
  • Professional fluency in Korean and English.
  • Experience with financial due diligence, asset sales, divestitures, carve-outs, or business wind-downs.
  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, general ledger data, fixed assets, inventory, and working capital.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prepare detailed analyses and executive-level reports.
  • Ability to work on-site in Bay City, Michigan, following onboarding.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.

Nice to have

  • CPA, Korean CPA, CFA, or comparable qualification.
  • Big Four transaction advisory, restructuring, or audit experience.
  • Manufacturing or other asset-intensive industry experience.
  • Experience reporting from a U.S. operation to a Korean parent company.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Quality of Earnings, Net Working Capital, and debt-like item analysis.
