We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Technician to support our custom fabrication operations in Tallassee, Alabama.
The CAD Technician will work closely with the Director of Custom Fabrication to review, interpret, revise, and maintain CAD drawings. This position will also coordinate with the Plant Manager to ensure drawings provide clear, accurate, and practical fabrication instructions.
The successful candidate will support production forecasting and throughput planning while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Professional proficiency in both Korean and English is required for regular job-related communication with Korean- and English-speaking stakeholders.

Review, interpret, revise, and maintain CAD drawings on a daily basis.
Work closely with the Director of Custom Fabrication to translate project requirements into production-ready drawings.
Coordinate with the Plant Manager to provide clear fabrication instructions.
Modify drawings based on production requirements, equipment capabilities, material availability, and operational needs.
Verify dimensions, tolerances, materials, and other technical details before releasing drawings for production.
Create detailed drawings, layouts, cutting files, and supporting production documentation.
Maintain organized and accurate drawing files, revision histories, and project records.
Communicate drawing changes and technical requirements to production personnel.
Respond to questions from the fabrication team and clarify design intent when needed.
Identify and correct drawing conflicts, missing information, or manufacturability issues.
Support production forecasting, scheduling, capacity planning, and throughput analysis.
Assist management with identifying potential production constraints and material requirements.
Coordinate priorities and deadlines with fabrication and plant-management teams.
Revise drawings promptly as production needs or customer requirements change.
Support lean manufacturing, workflow improvement, and waste-reduction initiatives.
Follow applicable drafting, documentation, quality, and safety standards.
Perform other CAD and production-support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Professional working proficiency in both Korean and English.
Experience creating, reviewing, or revising CAD drawings.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or comparable CAD software.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
Understanding of fabrication or manufacturing processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly to management and production employees.
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced custom fabrication environment.
Ability to work full-time, on-site in Tallassee, Alabama.

Associate degree, technical degree, or CAD certification in drafting, engineering technology, manufacturing, or a related field.
Experience in steel fabrication, metalworking, custom manufacturing, or industrial production.
Experience preparing drawings or files for waterjet, laser-cutting, CNC router, or similar equipment.
Familiarity with CAM, CNC nesting, or material-optimization software.
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Experience supporting production scheduling, forecasting, or throughput planning.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Experience working directly with plant managers, fabrication supervisors, engineers, or production teams.
Work Environment
The position is primarily performed in an office or technical workspace within a manufacturing facility.
Regular communication and coordination with employees on the production floor are required.
The employee may occasionally be exposed to noise, dust, moving equipment, and other typical fabrication-shop conditions.
Required personal protective equipment must be worn when entering designated production areas.
