As an ESS Cell Development Engineer, you will support the research, development, testing, and validation of lithium-ion battery cells for Energy Storage System (ESS) applications. This role partners with cross-functional teams to evaluate battery performance, support prototype development, analyze technical data, and contribute to continuous product and process improvements.

- Support the development and validation of lithium-ion battery cells for ESS applications
- Analyze battery cell specifications and engineering data to support product quality, performance, and reliability objectives
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving battery cell specifications and technical documentation
- Support prototype builds, testing activities, and performance evaluations
- Collect, analyze, and interpret laboratory and production test data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Assist with research and development projects, including prototype evaluation and product validation
- Coordinate testing activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project objectives
- Investigate quality concerns and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, manufacturing processes, and battery performance
- Maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and fire protection requirements
- Complete daily documentation and maintain accurate engineering records
- Follow established work instructions and safety requirements
- Maintain cleanliness at the work site in accordance with 5S3R standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container)
- Perform other duties as assigned
자격 요건
- & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent relevant experience)
- 1–3 years of engineering experience (including internship or co-op experience) in battery development, product development, R&D, manufacturing, or a related engineering environment
- Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology, battery materials, electrochemistry, or analytical instrumentation is preferred
- Experience supporting lithium-ion battery products or ESS technologies is preferred but not required
