The Production Control Specialist plans and tracks assembly production at our client company. This role builds daily production plans, tracks results, operating rate, inventory, and scrap, and maintains production data in SAP/MES so that the assembly lines run efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production Planning and Results
Create daily production plans by shift
Review and check daily production results
Create and review daily/monthly operating rate reports
Create and manage daily inventory status sheets
Understand and control labor allocation with floor supervisors
Systems and Data
Maintain SAP/MES master data and monitor system interfaces
Enter scrap quantities in MES; analyze and control monthly scrap results
Manage engineering change orders (ECO)
Maintain line work standards
Materials and Purchasing
Manage, distribute, and purchase shop-floor supplies such as welding tips and air tools
Manage purchasing budget and purchase requisitions (PR)
Control FIFO for modified parts for quality or customer requests
Improvement Support
Analyze cycle time, productivity, and downtime
Draft and follow up on corrective actions for manufacturing issues
Take part in line improvement and layout revision activities with Quality and Maintenance
Support new model try-outs and follow-up
Draft and support training materials
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct reports. May direct Team Leaders on the floor when Supervisors are absent.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Business, or Manufacturing preferred
Experience in automotive manufacturing, especially production planning or control, preferred
Experience with SAP and MES preferred
Language and Computer Skills
Fluent English required; bilingual English/Korean preferred
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Primarily office-based, with regular walks of the production line several times a day
Extended work on the plant floor is required during new model try-outs, low-capacity production, and emergencies
