The Production Operation Manager runs day-to-day assembly production at our client company. This role leads supervisors, specialists, and team members, drives the production plan and line performance, and leads improvement and new model launch activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

People Management
Manage and direct assembly supervisors, specialists, team leaders, and team members
Plan and run training and skill-up programs; build training materials and maintain daily check sheets
Monitor work performance and absenteeism, and address issues with the team
Communicate goals, priorities, and changes across all levels of the department
Production Operations
Manage operation progress against the daily production plan
Oversee shop-floor production processes, including equipment cleaning and welding tip change control
Report previous-day line status, major equipment issues, material shortages, and absences
Review and revise productivity and downtime analyses
Quality and Continuous Improvement
Review and revise corrective action (CAPA) reports
Lead line improvement activities with Quality and Maintenance to improve cycle time and uptime
Ensure work standards and IATF 16949 requirements are followed on the assembly lines
New Model Launch
Lead new model try-outs and follow-up on issues
Represent the Assembly Department on cross-functional launch teams (TFT)
Support department management and report work results to leadership
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises assembly Supervisors, Specialists, Team Leaders, and Team Members. Responsibilities include assigning and directing work, training, appraising performance, and addressing problems in line with company policy and applicable laws.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Business, or Manufacturing preferred
5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing
Production management experience in the automotive industry
Quality assurance project experience preferred
Experience with SAP/MES and IATF 16949 preferred
Language and Computer Skills
Fluent English required; bilingual English/Korean preferred
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Primarily office-based, with regular walks of the production line several times a day
Extended work on the plant floor is required during new model try-outs, low-capacity production, and emergencies
Plant floor is warmer than the office, with weld spatter present; PPE must be worn at all times in the plant
Noise level is usually moderate
Regularly required to talk and hear, sit, and use hands; occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
