Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Production Planning Specialist /
Assistant Manager with hands-on experience in manufacturing production planning and production control.
This position will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules, coordinating material and capacity requirements, monitoring actual production performance against established plans, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production targets are achieved efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience in production planning, production scheduling, capacity planning, and manufacturing operations, with the ability to analyze production data and proactively address scheduling or operational constraints.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans and
schedules based on customer demand and operational requirements.
Monitor actual production results against established production plans and adjust schedules as necessary.
Coordinate production schedules based on raw material availability, inventory
levels, equipment capacity, manpower, and production priorities.
Analyze production capacity, utilization, lead time, productivity, and other
operational data to identify potential production constraints.
Track and report key production metrics and KPIs, including production output, schedule attainment, efficiency, and downtime.
Coordinate closely with SCM, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, and Production teams to ensure production plans are executed effectively.
Support S&OP, demand planning, production forecasting, and capacity
planning activities as applicable.
Maintain and update production planning data through ERP, MES, SAP, or other manufacturing systems.
Monitor inventory and material requirements in coordination with SCM to minimize production disruptions.
Identify gaps between production plans and actual results and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning,
workflow, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
Prepare production reports, schedules, and operational data for management
review.
Support communication and operational alignment between our client company and Headquarters regarding production plans, performance, and operational requirements.
Maintain accurate production records and documentation for internal and external audits.
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials
Science, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in production planning, production
control, manufacturing planning, or a closely related function within a
manufacturing environment.
Direct experience developing or managing production schedules.
Understanding of production capacity, material requirements, inventory, and
manufacturing workflow.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production and operational data.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have
3–5 years of production planning or production control experience in a
manufacturing environment.
Experience with SAP, MES, ERP, MRP, or other manufacturing planning systems.
Experience with S&OP, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material
Requirements
Planning (MRP), or capacity planning.
Experience in chemical, lithium-ion battery, automotive, or other process
manufacturing environments.
Experience working with Korean headquarters or within a global manufacturing organization.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
