Position Summary
The Raw & Auxiliary Materials Import Assistant Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the import, inbound transportation, and material receiving processes for raw and auxiliary materials. This position manages transportation documentation, inbound schedules, and communication with logistics providers and internal departments to ensure the stable and
timely supply of materials to production.
Responsibilities
1. Import & Inbound Transportation Management
Monitor inbound status of raw material containers and ISO tanks.
Coordinate delivery schedules with transportation and logistics companies following port arrival.
Manage inbound schedules for containers, ISO tanks, C-NMP, and other raw and auxiliary materials.
Coordinate empty canister returns and VMI ISO tank drop & hook schedules.
Support import/export transportation activities as required.
2. Shipping & Import Documentation
Prepare, review, and maintain import/export and transportation documentation, including IMO, Packing Lists (PL), Commercial Invoices (CI), PODs, and related records.
Maintain accurate documentation for material receiving and transportation activities.
Collect invoices and PODs and support MES closing activities.
Prepare and share import-related data with headquarters, logistics providers, andinternal departments.
3. Hazardous Material & Compliance Support
Coordinate transportation and documentation related to hazardous materials.
Support compliance with applicable transportation and handling requirements for hazardous materials.
Work with transportation providers and internal departments to ensure appropriate documentation and handling procedures.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with Warehouse, Production, Maintenance, and other SCM functions to ensure smooth inbound operations.
Communicate with transportation companies and internal stakeholders to resolve inbound or delivery issues.
Coordinate transportation schedules and follow up on pending shipments or operational issues.
Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience in import/export, logistics, transportation, material management, or a related field.
Experience with import/export shipping and transportation documentation.
Understanding of logistics, warehouse, and inbound material processes.
Korean and English communication skills required.
Ability to communicate effectively with Korean-speaking headquarters and internal stakeholders.
Strong documentation, organization, and data management skills.
Strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
Experience using MES or similar ERP/logistics systems preferred.
Experience with hazardous materials (HazMat) transportation, documentation, or handling strongly preferred.
Preferred Background
Experience in manufacturing, chemical, battery, or other materials-based industries.
Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, carriers, ports, or third-party logistics providers.
Familiarity with ISO tank/container transportation and hazardous material logistics.
