  • Position Summary
  • The SCM Senior / General Manager is responsible for leading the overall Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization, including warehousing, transportation, inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, and equipment/yard operations. This position provides strategic leadership to optimize logistics performance, improve operational efficiency, manage costs, and support business growth while ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & SCM Leadership
  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term SCM strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics and warehouse
  • operations.
  • Establish logistics processes for new products, customers, and business expansion.
  • Monitor SCM performance and recommend operational improvements.
  • Logistics & Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee inbound, outbound, inventory, warehouse, and transportation operations.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management and material flow.
  • Improve warehouse utilization and logistics efficiency.
  • Monitor shipping schedules and customer delivery performance.
  • Team Management
  • Lead and develop SCM organization including Warehouse, Raw Material, Finished Goods, Transportation, Yard Operations, and Equipment/Maintenance functions.
  • Manage staffing plans, workload distribution, employee performance, coaching, and development.
  • Establish department KPIs and evaluate organizational performance.
  • Support succession planning and employee development.Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, Purchasing, Sales, and
  • other departments to improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional projects related to supply chain optimization.
  • Support customer requirements and logistics coordination.
  • Budget & Cost Management
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets.
  • Monitor transportation, warehouse, equipment, maintenance, and logistics-related expenses.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining operational performance.
  • Review vendor performance and logistics service costs.
  • Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and logistics
  • procedures.
  • Lead internal, customer, and ISO audit preparations.
  • Maintain and improve SCM SOPs, work instructions, and operational standards.
  • Reporting & Communication
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual SCM reports.
  • Present logistics performance, KPIs, inventory status, and improvement plans to executive management.
  • Participate in S&OP meetings and other operational review meetings.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises multiple SCM functions, including but not limited to:
  • Raw Material Warehouse
  • Finished Goods Warehouse
  • Transportation / Logistics
  • Yard Operations
  • Equipment / Warehouse Operations
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring recommendations, training, performance management, disciplinary actions, scheduling, and employee development.

Requirements

  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or
  • Manufacturing Operations.
  • 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in chemical, battery, automotive, or related manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management, transportation, inventory control, and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Fluent in both Korean and English (written and verbal) is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
