Saved contacts and the Chrome extension

Save LinkedIn profiles to Tahoe in one click with the Chrome extension.

Saved Contacts holds the people you capture one at a time: profiles you save from LinkedIn with the Chrome extension, and records you add by hand. The extension, Tahoe for LinkedIn, puts a Tahoe button on LinkedIn profiles so you can save a person in one click while you browse.

In the side panel, choose Contacts, then Saved Contacts.

Install the Chrome extension

Add it to Chrome

Open Tahoe for LinkedIn on the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. It is free. You can also get there from the Getting started checklist or the Company setup card on the Dashboard.

Sign in to Tahoe once

Sign in to Tahoe in the same Chrome browser. The extension picks up that sign-in, so you do not need a separate login.

Check it is installed

On the Dashboard, open Company setup. The Chrome extension panel says Installed with its version number.

Save a LinkedIn profile in one click

Open a profile on LinkedIn

Go to the person’s profile page on linkedin.com. The Tahoe button appears there.

Save

Click the Tahoe button and save the person. Tahoe keeps their profile: headline, about, experience, education, skills, languages and certifications, as far as the page shows them.

Find them in Tahoe

The person appears at the top of Saved Contacts. View in Tahoe in the extension opens them there directly.

If the person shows an email or phone number in their LinkedIn contact info, the extension saves it too, into an empty field only. Tahoe marks it “From LinkedIn profile” and never charges you to look up a detail that is already on file.

Find your saved contacts

Filter chips across the top split your contacts by how they were saved. Each shows a count.

Search with Search by name, company, title, headline, location, or email…. The table shows 25 contacts per page. Click the Contact, Title, Company or Saved heading to sort.

The columns

Contact (click the name to open the side panel, or the small LinkedIn link), Title, Company, Company Email, Personal Email, Phone, Resume, Headline, About, Location, Experience, Education, Skills, Languages, Certifications, Network, Status, Other sections, Saved via, Saved and List.

You can type an email or phone into an empty contact cell, or attach a resume, just as in Saved Profiles. A contact who is in no list is locked for editing: add them to a list first. The List column links to the person’s list, where you can enrich everyone, push them to a campaign or export them to your ATS. Saved profiles

Add someone by hand

Example

Example

Alex Kim at Summit Dental is browsing LinkedIn for dental office managers in Denver.

On each promising profile Alex clicks the Tahoe button and saves the person. Six profiles later, Alex opens Saved Contacts, clicks the Chrome extension chip and sees all six with their experience and skills. One of them listed a phone number on LinkedIn, so it is already filled in and marked “From LinkedIn profile”, at no cost.
