Create and publish a job

Write a job post with help, set up the application form and publish it to your career page.

Jobs is where you post open roles and collect applications. You write the job post (Tahoe can draft it for you), choose what the application form asks, and publish it to a public job page. Every applicant lands in the job’s pipeline, scored against the job.

In the side panel, choose Jobs, then Job Postings.

The Job Postings table

Job Postings lists every job in your workspace, newest first. Use the search box (“Search jobs by title, keyword, or location”), the Status menu and the department and location menus to narrow the list.

ColumnWhat it shows
Job TitleThe job name and employment type. Click it to open the job: its applicants once it is live, or the editor while it is a draft.
Job IDA 6-digit number Tahoe gives every job. Candidates key it in when they call for a phone pre-screen.
StatusDraft, Scheduled, Published or Closed.
DepartmentThe department you set on the job.
LocationThe first location (with +1, +2 for more) and Remote, Hybrid or On-site.

ActionsShortcuts for the job, explained below.

The actions you see depend on the status of the job:

  • Find matches · 2 credits: look for people who fit the job in Tahoe’s search (see the last section).
  • Edit, Form and Applicants: open the job post, the application form or the pipeline.
  • Publish (drafts and scheduled jobs), View (published jobs), Close (published jobs) and Reopen (closed jobs).
  • Delete: removes the job. Tahoe asks you to confirm, and it cannot be undone.

Create a job

Start a new job

On Job Postings, click Create job. The form is on the left and a live preview of the post is on the right. The preview updates as you type, so you see what candidates will see.

Let Tahoe draft it (optional)

In the Draft with AI box at the top, write a one-line brief: the role, the location, the type of job and the pay if you know it. Click Draft with AI. Tahoe fills in the title, department, job type, locations, summary, responsibilities, requirements, skills, benefits and salary where it can. Read every field before you post; you can change anything.

Fill in the four sections

Only the title is required to save. The table below lists every field.

Post, schedule or save

At the bottom, click Post to publish now, Schedule to pick a publish date and time (then Confirm schedule), or Save as draft to come back later. To post or schedule, the job needs a title and a summary of at least a couple of sentences.

SectionFields
01 Role essentialsTitle (required), Department, Team, Employment type (full time, part time, contract, intern, temp), Location type (remote, hybrid, onsite), Experience level (intern to principal), Locations (comma-separated).
02 CompensationSalary min, Salary max, Currency (USD unless you change it), Interval (annual, monthly or hourly), Equity, and an Offers commission checkbox.
03 Job descriptionSummary, Responsibilities, Requirements and Nice to have. Write one item per line; each line becomes a bullet.
04 Skills & benefitsRequired skills, Preferred skills and Benefits, separated by commas. They show as tags on the post.

Below the four sections is AI / voice pre-screen, where you can offer applicants a short phone interview. Phone pre-screening and Job ID

Example

Draft with AI: Field Coordinator, Columbus Ohio, full-time, on-site, $52k to $60k a year

Tahoe sets the title to Field Coordinator, the location to Columbus, Ohio, the employment type to full time and the location type to onsite, fills the salary range, and writes a summary, responsibilities and requirements. You add the department and two benefits, then click Post.

Check post

Once a job is saved, open it and use Check post next to the Draft with AI button. Tahoe reviews the post and lists suggestions by field, for example a missing salary range, or tells you no issues were found.

The tabs of a job

Each job has a header with its title, its status and its Job ID (shown as “ID 482913”), and five tabs: Applicants, Posting, Application form, Preview and Publish.

Set up the application form

Open the Application form tab (or Form in the table). Each field has a label, a type (such as text, email, phone, file, yes/no or a choice list), a required checkbox and optional help text. Use the arrows to reorder fields and the ✕ to remove one. A preview of the form sits on the right.

  • + Add field adds a custom field. For a choice list, type the options separated by commas.
  • + Screening question adds a long-answer question. Rename it to what you want to ask, such as “Do you have a valid driver’s license?”
  • + Diversity survey adds an optional section on age, gender identity and ethnicity. Every question allows “I prefer not to answer”, and the form tells candidates the survey is voluntary and not used in hiring decisions. Answers are only ever shown as totals in Hiring Analytics.
  • Application limits: tick “Show an application-limits notice on the public form” and set the maximum applications per 60 days (3 by default) and the number of days before someone can apply again (90 by default). Candidates see the notice on the form.

Click Save form when you are done.

Publish a job

Open the Publish tab. Leave Receive candidate resumes ticked to accept applications. Untick it to publish the job for visibility only, with no apply form.

ActionWhat happens
Publish nowThe job goes live right away. The tab shows “Live at” and the address of the public job page.
ScheduleUnder Schedule for later, set Publish at and, if you want, Auto-close at. The job shows as Scheduled until then. Cancel schedule turns it back into a draft.
CloseA published job stops being live and its status becomes Closed. Its applicants stay in the pipeline.
UnpublishA published job goes back to Draft, so you can edit it and publish again later.
ReopenA closed job goes live again. You can also use Publish now on a closed job.

When a job goes live, Tahoe shows Your job is live with three choices: View the posted job, Share this job on LinkedIn (LinkedIn Post) and Find matches · 2 credits.

Published jobs appear on the public job board at tahoe.workonward.com/jobs, each on its own page with your company name, logo and description. Search engines such as Google can find them. Set your branding on the Organization page.

Find matches · 2 credits

You do not have to wait for applicants. Find matches writes a search description from the job and opens Search with it already in the box. Check it, review the filters, and run the search. The button shows the price: 2 credits for a page of 20 results, or Find matches · Free search if your free first search is still available. Nothing is charged until the search runs. Find candidates with Search

Example

Find matches on the Field Coordinator job

Search opens with a description such as “Field Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio with scheduling and site safety experience”. You change the state to Ohio instead of the city, to see more people, then run it. Tahoe charges 2 credits for the first page of results.
