Credit balance and usage
See your balance, where credits come from, when they expire and where they went.
The Credits tab answers three questions: how many credits you have, when they expire, and what you spent them on. Every grant, charge and refund is listed, and you can download the list as a CSV file.
In the side panel, choose Settings, then the Credits tab. For what each action costs, see Plans, billing and credits.
Your balance
The Credit balance card shows the credits you can use now. Under it you see how many are held for work in progress, how many your plan adds each month, and the date your plan credits reset. Two buttons sit underneath: Top up credits opens the top-up packs, and Manage plan opens Billing.
Held credits are set aside while a job runs. For example, when you start revealing emails for a list, Tahoe holds the estimated cost. When the run finishes, it charges only for what it found and gives the rest back.
This billing cycle and its health
The This billing cycle card shows how many credits you have used since your cycle started, split into Search, Contact reveals and Outreach. A label in the corner shows the health of your balance:
| Label | What to do |
|---|---|
| Healthy | Nothing. You have plenty of credits. |
| Running low | Check your usage, and plan a top-up if your cycle has a while to go. |
| Almost out | Top up soon, or wait for your monthly credits if the reset is close. |
| Out of credits | Paid actions stop until you top up or your plan credits renew. |
Where your credits come from
Each grant or top-up is a lot: a batch of credits with its own expiry date. The table lists every lot with its Source, how many credits are Available, Held and Used, and when it Expires. Top-ups say Never.
Credits are always used from the lot that expires first.
Jordan Rivera at Kestrel Labs, on Growth, bought a 500-credit top-up last month. Today the table shows two lots.
One row is this month’s plan credits: 600 available, expiring on the 1st of next month. The other is the top-up: 500 available, expires Never. When Jordan runs a search, the 2 credits come from the plan credits, because they expire first. The top-up is only touched once the month’s plan credits are used up, so it keeps its value.
Usage over time
The Usage card shows the credits used each day as stacked bars for search, contact reveals and outreach. Pick the period with 7D, 30D, 90D or 1Y. The card opens on 30 days. Above the chart are four numbers:
| Number | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Used in range | Credits used in the period you picked. |
| Average per day | Used in range divided by the number of days. |
| Busiest day | The day you used the most, and how many. |
| Runway at this pace | Roughly how many days your credits last if you keep spending at this rate. |
Hover over a bar to see that day’s total and its split.
Below the chart, By category shows each category’s share of the period, and Biggest charges lists up to six of the largest single charges, with the time and the project or campaign they belong to.
The activity log
Activity lists every grant, charge, hold and refund, newest first, 20 rows per page. It keeps the latest 500 entries. Each row has the time, the activity, the credits added (+) or used, and details such as “Results page 3” or “Estimated 12, actual 9”.
Use the menu to show one kind of activity at a time:
- All activity
- Grants, refunds and resets
- Search
- Contact reveals
- Outreach
- Tahoe’s Girl
- Resume unlocks
Click Export CSV to download the rows that are loaded, with the columns Time, Activity, Credits, Details and Reference. The export follows the filter, so pick Contact reveals first if you only want those.
Common questions
Why did my balance drop by more than the final charge for a moment? That was a hold. Tahoe held the estimate while the work ran, then released whatever it did not use. The log shows both steps.
What is “Monthly credit reset” in the log? Plan credits you did not use before the end of your cycle. Plan credits do not carry over. Top-up credits never expire.
Can I see this from my AI app? Yes. If you use Tahoe MCP, ask “How many credits do I have and when do they reset?” Checking is free. Credits and limits
